Welcome to Sawa, a platform created to help people connect, communicate, and build meaningful relationships in a safe and respectful environment. These Community Guidelines explain the standards of behaviour expected from all users. By using SAWA, you agree to follow these rules to protect yourself and the community.
1. Treat Everyone with Respect
Respect is the core value of SAWA. Users must communicate politely and consider how their words and actions affect others. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, humiliation, stalking, or abusive language is strictly prohibited. You may not use hate speech or offensive expressions related to someone’s race, colour, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other personal trait. Disagreements are natural, but they must be handled maturely and peacefully without personal attacks. Creating a respectful environment ensures that everyone feels safe and welcome on SAWA.
2. Protect the Safety of the Community
Safety on SAWA is everyone’s responsibility. You are not allowed to threaten, harm, exploit, coerce, or manipulate others in any way. Encouraging self-harm, violence, illegal activity, or dangerous behavior is prohibited. Do not share another person’s personal, confidential, or identifying information without their clear consent, including addresses, phone numbers, financial details, or private images. Impersonating another individual, organization, or authority figure is not permitted. Authentic behavior builds trust and protects the community from harm.
3. Maintain Appropriate and Decent Behavior
SAWA is designed for respectful and comfortable interactions. Posting explicit sexual content, nudity, pornography, or engaging in sexually aggressive communication is not allowed. Sending unwanted sexual messages, images, or requests creates discomfort and violates user boundaries. Users must not pressure, manipulate, or shame others into sexual conversations or actions. All interactions on SAWA should be based on mutual interest, consent, and respect so that everyone can communicate without fear or embarrassment.
4. Do Not Engage in Scams, Spam, or Fraud
SAWA is not a platform for dishonest activity. Creating fake profiles, using automated bots, pretending to be someone else, or providing misleading information is forbidden. Financial scams, cryptocurrency schemes, phishing attempts, or any activity designed to steal money, data, or trust from others is strictly prohibited. Users may not request money, gifts, investments, or sensitive banking information from others. Excessive advertising, promotions, and repeated unsolicited messages are also considered spam and are not allowed. Trust is essential for meaningful connections on SAWA.
5. Share Content Responsibly and Lawfully
Everything you upload on SAWA should be legal, safe, and respectful. You must only post photos, videos, and text that you own or have permission to use. Content that promotes violence, hate, illegal behaviour, misinformation, or harm to others is prohibited. Any content involving minors in inappropriate, exploitative, or sexualised ways is strictly forbidden. You must respect privacy rights and never post someone else’s private images or personal information without consent. Responsible sharing protects both you and the community.
6. Communicate Honestly and Respect Boundaries
Communication on SAWA should always be genuine and considerate. Manipulating, threatening, guilt-tripping, deceiving, or emotionally pressuring others is unacceptable. Users must respect personal boundaries, preferences, and decisions. If another user chooses not to continue a conversation or relationship, that choice must be accepted calmly and respectfully. Repeatedly contacting someone who has shown disinterest is considered harassment. Honest and respectful communication allows connections to develop naturally.
7. Follow All Applicable Laws and Regulations
Using SAWA means following the laws of your local and national jurisdiction. You may not use the platform to organize, promote, or participate in illegal activities. This includes but is not limited to drug distribution, weapons trafficking, fraud, human exploitation, or other criminal behavior. Users should not misuse SAWA to evade law enforcement or regulatory systems. SAWA may cooperate with legal authorities when required to ensure safety and compliance.
8. Use Reporting and Blocking Tools Responsibly
SAWA provides tools to report and block users who violate these guidelines. If you experience harassment, scams, threats, or inappropriate behavior, you should report it immediately through the app. Reporting helps SAWA investigate and take action to protect the community. Users should not misuse reporting features to target others falsely or maliciously. Blocking and reporting contribute to a safer and more respectful platform for everyone.
9. Enforcement and Consequences
SAWA reserves the right to review any account, content, or activity that may violate these guidelines. Depending on the severity of the violation, SAWA may remove content, limit features, issue warnings, temporarily suspend accounts, or permanently ban users. Enforcement actions may occur without prior notice in order to protect the community. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent removal from the platform.
10. Help Build a Positive SAWA Environment
Every SAWA user contributes to the culture of the platform. By acting honestly, respecting diversity, protecting privacy, and communicating kindly, you help create a welcoming and supportive space. SAWA exists to promote genuine, meaningful, and safe connections. Following these Community Guidelines ensures that everyone can enjoy a positive and trustworthy experience.
11. Reporting Violations on SAWA
SAWA encourages users to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. If you experience harassment, threats, scams, fake profiles, inappropriate content, or any behavior that violates these Community Guidelines, you should report it using SAWA’s in-app reporting tools. Reports help our safety team review situations and take action quickly.
When submitting a report, provide accurate and honest information so SAWA can investigate effectively. False, misleading, or abusive reports made to harm other users may themselves result in action against the reporting account. Reporting is confidential, and SAWA aims to protect users from retaliation. By reporting responsibly, you help keep SAWA safe for everyone.
12. Impact and Consequences of Violations
Breaking SAWA’s Community Guidelines has real consequences. When a violation is detected, SAWA may take different actions depending on the nature and severity of the behavior. These actions may include removing content, issuing warnings, restricting certain features, temporarily suspending accounts, or permanently banning users from the platform.
Serious violations such as harassment, sexual misconduct, fraud, impersonation, threats, exploitation, or illegal activity may result in immediate and permanent removal without warning. Repeated violations can also lead to stricter penalties. SAWA’s enforcement decisions are made to protect users, maintain trust, and preserve a respectful environment.
In some cases, SAWA may cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities if required by law or necessary to protect the community. Users are responsible for their behavior, and misuse of the platform can permanently affect access to SAWA services.
